About Fat Triathlon

What if you woke up one day and realized you were utterly dissatisfied with some aspect of your life?

I mean righteously dissatisfied. Ready to make a radical change.

What if you faced the fact for the first time in half a decade that you had stopped challenging yourself. You had stopped forcing yourself to grow. You had stopped doing anything that scared you.

These realizations lead to the creation of Fat Triathlon.

It hit me like a ton of bricks -- I was fat, I was lazy, and I was cowardly. I feared change and challenge. I was stuck in a rut. Physically, but more importantly, philosophically. Everything I thought I was aspiring to be I had started choosing against just by the sheer inertia of the familiar.

I had a great life by all accounts and in many ways was in the best placed I'd ever been.

Maybe that's where I needed to be to realize how far I still had to go.

So I decided this fat guy was going to turn himself into a triathlete. To prove it could be done. To prove it to my doubters and my supporters. To prove it to myself.

A wise man said once, "The major value in life is not what you get. The major value in life is what you become."
